Bed bugs are what we like to call “small, but mighty.” These little bugs can spread easily and become a big problem quickly, which is why they are in a category all their own. Treating for bed bugs requires a specialized service of heat and/or chemicals to rid the area of this tiny pest.
Bed bugs are one of the oldest noted pests in the world. It was once thought that they may be only a problem of the past, but with their resurgence in the 1990s, these pests are making a worldwide comeback, and they don’t discriminate. Even the most the most prominent homes and hotels are not immune to a bed bug infestation.
Below is a checklist to help you identify a bed bug:
- Reddish brown in color (becoming darker after they feed)
- Flat, oval shape
- Feeds at night (You will most likely experience bites during the night while you are sleeping.)
